On the surface, Judges is a dark and disturbing book with everyone “doing what is right in their own eyes” and there being “no king in Israel.” We see how things can go very badly when we aren’t living under God’s loving rule. But when we dig deeper, we see a God who is always ready to show Mercy. God is ready to send a Deliverer, a Judge to rescue us. His name is Jesus, and you are never too far gone to receive His Mercy and love.
