We believe in water baptism by immersion as a public statement of faith after choosing to accept Jesus’ gift of salvation and establishing Him as Lord.

We believe that if you have given your life to Jesus that you should take the step of baptism by immersion. This is a decision that we make and baptism is a declaration of that decision, a public statement of a transition in your life from who you have been to pursuing who God has made you to be through grace. It is an external expression of what has been decided and done internally. Jesus set the example, gave the direction and the church has been carrying this step out in the Great Commission for hundreds of years.
“Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptized by John.”- Matthew 3:13
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”-Matthew 28:19
“We were therefore buried with Him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.”- Romans 6:4
We treat baptism as an opportunity to celebrate what God has done and is doing in someone’s life. If you would like more information about baptism at Bridge Church, or would like to sign up for our next water baptism, click button above.
